Do backpacks at Disney have to be clear? Clear bags are not required. You are welcome to bring a purse, backpack, or another type of bag as long as it is no larger than 24 long x 15 wide x 18 high. You may also bring in your own food and non-alcoholic drinks.

I've worn both. I wear fanny packs/bumbags as sling bags - they will usually have you remove a fanny pack if it's actually around your waist, for a ride (they'll have you remove a backpack as well, or any bag that is between you and a lap bar). It's really not inconvenience though.
