In 2026, the tradition of the "Celebration Button" is still very much alive at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. These iconic colorful pins are complimentary and can be picked up at almost any Guest Relations location, at most indoor merchandise shops, or even at the front desk of Disney Resort hotels. While "Happy Birthday" is the most popular, they also offer pins for "First Visit," "Happily Ever After," and a generic "I'm Celebrating" pin. Wearing a birthday pin often results in "magical moments," such as cast members and characters wishing you a happy birthday throughout the day, or occasionally receiving a small complimentary treat at a table-service restaurant. In 2026, Disney has also integrated these celebrations into their mobile apps; if your birthday is noted in your "My Disney Experience" profile, you may receive digital greetings or personalized notifications while in the park, but the physical pin remains the gold standard for social interaction and souvenirs.
