Does Disney World sell your fingerprints?

According to Disney's privacy policy, “Ticket Tag does not store fingerprints.” While that statement is true, they do sell your fingerprints, which is a shady way around the legal blurb. While we were unable to put an exact value to what Disney makes from selling each fingerprint, we estimate it at $100 per person.

You can get to the park entrances by first passing through one of the security checkpoints at the Downtown Disney District, Disney's Grand Californian Resort & Spa, or the Disneyland Resort East Esplanade.

At Walt Disney World Resort, fingerprint scans are used to ensure that Theme Park tickets are not transferred between Guests. So you will be asked to present your Disney Band (physical ticket card or electronic barcode) and your fingerprint for entry into the Theme Parks.

All Disney stores have cameras. These cameras are intended to deter shoplifters and to catch them if they attempt to steal. There are also a lot of security cameras throughout the park, so it's almost impossible to shoplift without being caught.

At the time of activation, a ticket will be associated with one Guest. Each ticket holder will have their photo taken at the park entrance. That photo will be used to verify each Guest when they use their ticket for re-entry on the same day as well as on subsequent days for a multi-day ticket.

Through Disney PhotoPass and the My Disney Experience Mobile App you may allow anyone who is connected to your Family & Friends list to view your photos. Photo sharing is set one person at a time, so you control who is able to view all the Disney PhotoPass photos connected to your Disney account.
