Disneyland in the Rain Park Operations Disneyland Resort is open rain or shine and many guests still make it to the parks during the rain because they don't want to miss out on their vacation time. There are a few attractions that will close during rain, but many remain open and Genie+ still works in the rain too.

Disneyland Resort rarely closes entirely due to rain; in fact, the parks stay open through most inclement weather. Most indoor attractions, shows, and dining locations continue to operate normally, and rainy days are often celebrated by "pro" guests for having significantly lower crowds. However, for the safety of guests and staff, outdoor attractions may close temporarily during heavy rain or wind. At Disneyland Park, rides like Alice in Wonderland, Mad Tea Party, and the Storybook Land Canal Boats are typically the first to pause. In California Adventure, Goofy’s Sky School and Jumpin' Jellyfish often close. Most importantly, all outdoor attractions will close if lightning is detected within a specific radius of the park. While the gates stay open, entertainment like parades and fireworks may be canceled or replaced with a "Rainy Day Cavalcade." Disney does not typically offer refunds or "rain checks" for bad weather, so it is best to pack a poncho and embrace the shorter lines at iconic indoor rides like Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion.
