Other closures occurred following the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963, the Northridge earthquake in 1994, and the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001. In 2026, the parks may occasionally close specific areas or end operations early for "hard-ticketed" private events or severe weather (though light rain usually won't stop the fun). For regular travelers, the park is virtually guaranteed to be open, but it is always wise to check the "Daily Calendar" on the Disneyland app for any "Early Closures" (often at 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM) that might be scheduled for seasonal parties like Oogie Boogie Bash or private corporate buyouts.
