Free Water StationsDollywood always offers guests free ice water at any culinary location to make sure everyone stays hydrated while having fun. We've installed water bottle refill stations around the park so you can fill up your own water bottle without waiting in line at a food location!
Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Gatlinburg are all located in Sevier County, TN. Sevier County is technically a dry county, though it includes a city option for the sale and service of liquor and/or beer with regard to state law.
Plan For A Couple DaysDollywood has too much to experience in just one day. Having two full days will give you the real experience complete with great roller coasters, fun rides, live music, and delicious food. You'll be glad you gave yourself enough time to fully explore this 130-acre park.
The amusement park can be done in one day, but you will have to skip a lot. In the summer lines for rides can consume some time, so you might want to consider two days at the park. Also, you cannot fit in all the shows and still do all the rides in just one day.

Not only is Dollywood less crowded in the spring, but the weather is great, too. March through May have mild temperatures in the 60s and 70s and reduced humidity. This creates a pleasant environment for many entertaining outdoor activities for the whole family.
Dollywood is truly for everyone and certainly, in some ways, adults will get more out of a visit to this exciting theme park than young children. But this theme park is just the start of what Pigeon Forge has to offer.
VISIT IN THE OFF-SEASONTo avoid traffic (and packed attractions), visit in winter or early spring. Try to avoid spring break weeks or popular periods like Memorial Day weekend.

It's also easy to forget Dollywood is really a park tailor-made for uncooperative weather. A majority of outdoor attractions operate in steady, light rain and only close when there is lightning and heavier downpours.
