Does Fantasmic run in the rain?

Rain and wind conditions sometimes cause Fantasmic! to be canceled.

Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios (and Disneyland Park) is an outdoor show that involves pyrotechnics, water projections, and live performers on a wet stage, making it highly sensitive to weather. While the show can continue in light drizzle, it is frequently cancelled or delayed during moderate to heavy rain or if there is lightning in the area. The safety of the performers is the primary concern; if the stage or the "Steamboat" boat becomes too slippery for the characters to dance safely, the show will be halted. In 2026, Disney's policy remains that there are no refunds or exchanges for Fantasmic! if it is cancelled due to weather, as it is included in your park admission. However, if you had a Lightning Lane reservation or a Fantasmic! Dining Package, you may be issued a "Multi-Experience" pass to use at another attraction. Guests are always advised to check the My Disney Experience app for real-time status updates when rain is in the forecast for the evening.

Nothing will beat happily ever after but this is definitely the second best night time show I've see!! I was worried I overspent on the VIP experience but it was worth it. Center priority seating, huge dessert box, and choice of alcoholic or non alcoholic drink. Highly recommend the show and spending $$ on the VIP.
