Does Fort Wilderness have tent camping?

Fully-Equipped Campsites Great for larger parties, 4 types of campsites accommodate everything from tents to 45-foot and longer RVs, with a maximum of 10 Guests per site.

Yes, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground offers extensive facilities specifically for tent camping. The "Tent or Pop-Up Campsite" category is the most affordable and is designed to accommodate up to two tents (or one pop-up camper and one tent). These sites feature a paved area for your vehicle and a "soft" sand/mulch pad for pitching your tents. Each site is equipped with privacy-enhancing landscaping, a picnic table, a charcoal grill, and essential hook-ups including water, electrical, and cable TV. While you are "roughing it" in the Florida woods, you are never far from a "Comfort Station," which provides air-conditioned restrooms, private showers, and laundry facilities. In 2026, Disney updated its occupancy rules, so these sites now accommodate a maximum of 8 guests (down from the previous 10). Campers also enjoy full resort perks, including free Disney transportation (bus and boat), 30-minute early entry to the theme parks, and the ability to view the Electrical Water Pageant from the resort's beach on Bay Lake.
