Does Hollywood Studios need a full day?

A full day to take in everything would be best. Make sure you get fast passes for the rides that usually have the longest wait times, like toy story ride, rockin roller coaster, and tower of terror....all great rides not to be missed. All the shows are great, so you can't go wrong with any you choose.

Disney's Hollywood Studios has transformed from a "half-day park" into a destination that most guests find requires a full day to experience completely. This shift is driven by the high-demand "lands" like Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land, which house some of Disney World’s most popular attractions like Rise of the Resistance and Slinky Dog Dash. Because these rides often have wait times exceeding 60–90 minutes, much of your day will be spent in queues unless you use the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass system. Furthermore, the park is famous for its high-production stage shows, such as Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular and Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage, which have fixed schedules and take 25–40 minutes each. To see the top-tier rides, catch at least two shows, explore the immersive Star Wars details, and stay for the Fantasmic! nighttime spectacular, a 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM commitment is almost always necessary to feel you've "done it all."

Although there are a number of time-consuming stage shows without much repeatability, we usually do an entire day at Disney's Hollywood Studios even as WDW diehards. DHS is most definitely a full-day park, just to be clear.
