As of 2026, Knott’s Berry Farm does not have a "clear bag only" policy for standard daytime admission, but they do enforce a strict size limit on all bags brought into the park. The general rule is that bags, purses, and backpacks must be no larger than 15" x 15" x 15". Every bag is subject to a thorough security screening, which may include X-ray machines and manual inspection. It is important to note that for special ticketed events, most notably Knott’s Scary Farm (the annual Halloween event), the park does implement a much more restrictive policy: during these events, no bags of any kind are allowed inside the park, with the exception of very small clutches (roughly 6.5" x 4.5") or medically necessary items. Additionally, Knott's has a "Chaperone Policy" in effect on select days, where guests 15 or younger must be accompanied by an adult, and security may perform more frequent ID and bag checks at the gate. To ensure a smooth entry, it is best to leave large coolers and unnecessary items in your vehicle, as they will be prohibited at the security checkpoint.
