Does Lagoon shut down rides when raining?

Most of the rides were running,even with the heavy rain. Rain ponchos and umbrellas were available for purchase. Shelter from the rain was available in pic-nic pavilions and eating places. The staff was friendly.... even though they were soaking wet and not in sheltered areas, and most were not dressed for the weather.

Most operations will shut down their rides when lightning is in the immediate vicinity. As far as rain, it depends upon how safely the individual rides can operate under wet conditions since speed and braking are effected. So every ride has limits some it's wind speed or temperature.

Yes, we do allow guests to bring alcohol. However, it is not allowed inside Lagoon A Beach, into the Lagoon Biergarten & Restaurant, and it cannot be left in a cooler unattended. Alcohol is sold at the Biergarten located south of the Roller Coaster.

Usually when the rain stops, the ride will resume as soon as it is safe to do so. Do know that each ride has different conditions in which it can operate depending on many factors so some of them won't be able to operate even if it's close to raining while some will start up as soon as the rain stops.

I've visited the Iceland Blue Lagoon several times, in different kinds of weather. As you can see by my photos, I've seen the Blue Lagoon on a gorgeous day in May; I've also visited the Blue Lagoon on a cold and rainy August day. It wasn't ideal, but it was still worth visiting the Blue Lagoon in the rain.

Do Not wear material that you can see through when it gets wet. Find a bra where your ladies are not going to fall out when you're on the coasters, or just walking around for that matter. Or a dress/skirt (I know some that this is all they wear.. wear a garment underneath for modesty.)

Lagoon says its rides are designed for 95 percent of the population, but there are several like “The Samarai” that have larger seats for bigger customers. According to Lagoon's policy on its website, because of safety, guests of unusual body proportions, whether height or weight, may not be able to ride.
