MSC Dress Code: Formal and Casual Get Equal BillingCasual wear is the way to go on MSC Cruises. That's the case almost all of the time, except for the formal evening gala dinners. On those nights, the main dining room requires men to wear suits or jackets and ties, and cocktail dresses for women.
At dinner, dress codes will vary daily, among the following: Casual: Slacks and sport shirt for men (no jeans); slacks and blouse, sundress or pantsuit for women. Informal: Jacket with or without tie for men; dress or pantsuit for women. Formal: Dark suit or tuxedo for men; evening gown or cocktail dress for women.
For formal dinners, men should wear a dark suit or tuxedo, and women should wear an evening gown or cocktail dress. No jeans, t-shirts, shorts, or bare feet are allowed on the ship after 6 p.m. Beverage Policy: All beverages except tea and water extra.
Dinner or “smart casual” attireIf you're having dinner in the main restaurant or any meal at one of the specialty restaurants, you'll follow a “smart casual” dress code on most nights. This means long pants, jeans, a dress or skirt, a stylish top, or a button-down.
First and foremost, taking hotel robes is considered stealing. Hotel robes are provided for guests to use during their stay, not to take home with them. Even if you think that the robe is a complimentary gift, it's not.
Is there free ice creams included in your drinks package on MSC? Everybody does love soft serve ice cream. There are some free soft serve on the bigger ships that are vanilla or chocolate. Other than that Ice cream is only included only for children as part of the minor package and the non alcoholic package.
After 6 p.m., jeans, T-shirts, and shorts are not allowed in the ships' public areas. Additionally, swimwear is not permitted in the main dining rooms. However, jeans are allowed on casual resort wear nights, as long as they are not torn or ripped.
Dress RestrictionsAt no point is swimwear allowed in any formal dining venue for any meal, including breakfast and lunch. Shorts, flip flops, and tank tops are not allowed for Evening Wear or Gala Night in the Main Dining Rooms, Specialty Restaurants, or MSC Yacht Club.
The dress code for most nights is casual resort wear, while formal attire is required on specific formal evenings. Men are required to wear suits or jackets and ties, while women are encouraged to wear cocktail dresses.
Like many other cruise lines, MSC Cruises drink packages are unlimited. This means that guests can enjoy an unlimited number of both alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages each day. However, guests are only allowed to order one drink at a time.
Even though twice-daily stateroom cleaning has long been the standard in the cruise industry, how often you like your cruise ship stateroom cleaned by your cabin steward is a matter of personal preference. Some cruisers love the pampered feeling of a stateroom that is always clean -- when done by someone else.
Many first-time cruisers don't realize that they won't be able to go directly to their staterooms upon boarding. Pass the time while you wait for your room to be ready and for the ship to set sail by enjoying lunch on the Lido Deck of the ship. This is a great way to make sure you aren't starving by dinner time!
After breakfast service ends in the late morning, all major cruise lines offer an all-day room service menu of salads, sandwiches, snacks and desserts. Most cruise lines have special in-room dining menus, separate from what you'd find that day on the buffet or in the main dining room.
Seating Times: For Breakfast and Lunch, check onboard for hours of operation, Dinner: Early: 5:15 PM; Late: 7:15 PM and 9:15 PM - dining times may vary. Dress: We suggest smart casual attire.
If you're looking to stay within the confines of your luxury stateroom, MSC offers 24/7 in-room dining to provide you with what you want when you want it. Feel free to pre-order your meals if you have a specific time in mind.
Alcoholic drinks, including wines, spirits, beer or other liqueurs are available for purchase onboard the Vessel at fixed prices. Passengers are not permitted to bring onboard any such drinks for use during the voyage, whether for consumption in their own cabins or otherwise.
