Does Port Jeff ferry have parking?

For those who drive on, there is a paid parking lot next to the ferry terminal in Port Jefferson, as well as limited municipal lots and street parking around town. Whether walking or driving on, the ferry recommends arriving 30 minutes before departure time.

Some floaters from time to time have successfully parked for the day and overnight on the street in The Village of Port Jefferson. The majority of the on-street parking is limited to 30 minutes. However, there are a few side streets near the ferry where on-street parking is allowed without time limits.

If you are running late and are likely to miss your ferry, we suggest proceeding to the port to see if the ferry company will allow you to change the ticket to a different day or departure time. Keep in mind that if you do miss your ferry, the tickets are non-refundable.
