Does Prada sell in Russia?

Prada has joined other luxury brands in suspending its retail operations in Russia following the invasion of Ukraine. While Russian luxury retailers Tsum and Gum sell Prada products online, Prada does not have franchising operations in the country and operates stores directly.

As of February 2026, Prada does not officially operate its own retail boutiques in Russia, having suspended all retail activities in the country in early 2022 following the invasion of Ukraine. While the local entity, Prada Rus, remains a registered business, its storefronts in luxury hubs like Moscow’s GUM or St. Petersburg remain closed. However, there is a complex "gray market" reality: in 2025 and 2026, Prada has moved to register new trademarks in Russia, such as "Luna Rossa," likely to protect its intellectual property from "squatters" or to prepare for an eventual return. Despite the official exit, Prada goods frequently appear in Russian multi-brand boutiques through "parallel imports" (products sourced via third-party distributors in countries like the UAE or Turkey). While you can still find the brand in Russia, you are not buying directly from Prada, and prices are often 30% to 50% higher than European retail due to these convoluted supply chains.
