Just tell the driver what ticket you want, pop the coins in the box or tap your contactless card/device, take your ticket and find a seat. If paying by cash, make sure you have coins with you before getting on the bus. You will need to have the exact money as our drivers cannot give you change (except on Airlink).

Tickets can be bought on board the bus. Contactless, Lothian Buses Ridacards and Scottish National Concession passes can be used on Airlink. City singles and Day tickets are not valid on Airlink.

When buying a 24 hour Travelcard, you can choose a Day Anytime, which can be used at any time of the day and is valid until 4:30 am the next day. Or you can get the Day Off-Peak, which only allows you to take public transport after 9:30 am and is also valid until the next day at 4:30 am.
