Fun fact: The park took its name from the low meadowland which separates the narrow sandy beach from the uplands. Access originally was by way of a quarter mile-long boardwalk which was erected on-stilts across the meadows and creek.

Residents must buy a seasonal beach pass parking sticker, and non-locals have to pay the $20 daily parking fee. Restrooms are available. No alcohol, fires, pets, or smoking permitted. This is a Tier II beach.
