Does Test Track spin?

Take the Ultimate Test Drive When you're done, buckle up in a 6-passenger “SIM Car” and take it for an exhilarating spin on the test track.

No, Test Track at EPCOT is not a "spinning" ride in the traditional sense, unlike attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind or Mad Tea Party. The ride vehicle, which is designed to look and feel like a six-person car, remains oriented "forward" on its wheels throughout the entire duration of the experience. The sensation of the ride comes from acceleration, braking, and high-speed banking, rather than rotation. During the "handling" and "capability" tests, the car may perform sharp turns or simulate "swerving" to avoid an obstacle, which can feel intense but does not involve the car spinning on an axis. The most famous part of the ride is the outdoor speed loop, where the car reaches 65 mph on a heavily banked curve; while you are tilted at a steep angle, you are still moving in a linear direction. If you are sensitive to motion sickness caused by spinning, Test Track is generally considered safe, as it feels much more like riding in a very fast, high-performance sports car on a test course than a dizzying amusement park ride.

People Also Ask

Test Track (sudden movements and tight turns): Test Track is quite the thrilling experience, but it can also jostle you around a bunch. The roughness of the ride combined with the tight turns can lead to motion sickness, especially if you're sensitive to sudden movements.

If so, TRON should be on your list! It's not the fastest ride in Disney World (that title goes to Test Track, which tops out at about 65 MPH), but it's pretty close. During the initial launch, TRON riders get close to hitting 60 MPH. Essentially, it's about as fast as if you were riding a motorcycle on the highway.
