Does Thalys require passport?

No. Both countries are in the Schengen Area, so no passport controls between them. Thalys actually runs Paris (Gare du Nord) - Brussels - Amsterdam or Paris - Brussels - Cologne (Köln), so two borders crossed, neither with passport control.
