Brightline recommends that you arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Boarding begins approximately 10 minutes prior to departure.
Additional dedicated trains will continue to serve commuters and the South Florida region between Miami and West Palm Beach with early morning departures at 5:00 a.m. from West Palm Beach and late night departures until 12:45 a.m. out of Miami, according to a Brightline press release.
The 235-mile trip from Miami to Orlando takes about 3 1/2 hours, with the train reaching speeds of up to 125 mph. Brightline earlier this year said it eventually planns to have 16 daily round trips with hourly departures between Miami and Orlando.
I rode the Brightline train on both of the offered class fares, smart and premium. Smart tickets on Brightline can start at $10 one-way, while premium tickets tend to start at $27. With additional offerings that enhance the experience, premium is worth the extra money.
