Does the Incredibles ride have a loop?

The Incredicoaster is a steel roller coaster that evokes the thrills of wooden coasters from days gone by. At the start riders catapult from 0 to 55 mph in less than five seconds. Over the course of almost 1-1/8 miles of track, there's a giant loop and a 108-foot drop, all set to an “incredible” soundtrack.

Yes, the Incredicoaster (formerly California Screamin') at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, California, features one prominent 360-degree vertical loop. It is currently the only roller coaster with an inversion at the entire Disneyland Resort. The loop is cleverly integrated into the skyline of Pixar Pier and is famous for being framed by a silhouette of Mickey Mouse’s head. Reaching speeds of up to 55 mph, the coaster uses a Linear Induction Motor (LIM) launch to blast riders from 0 to top speed in just four seconds before they encounter the loop mid-way through the 6,072-foot track. During the ride, the loop is themed to the character Violet, who uses her force fields to "protect" riders as they go upside down. Because the ride is located near a residential area, Disney built "scream tunnels" throughout the track—including part of the loop area—to contain the noise. The 108-foot drop and the single inversion make it one of the most thrilling and iconic "E-ticket" attractions in any Disney park worldwide.
