Does the monorail go through the Disneyland Hotel?
The monorail passes through California Adventure and the Grand California hotel, but you can't board in either of those places. You can't take it to the Disneyland Hotel, either - although you could do that years ago before the hotel moved. The Downtown Disney stop is just a short walk from today's Disneyland Hotel.
The Resort Monorail runs a continuous loop from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Polynesian resort, the Grand Floridian resort, the Magic Kingdom, and the Contemporary resort, in that order. The Epcot Monorail runs back and forth between the Transportation and Ticket Center and Epcot.
There is no additional charge to ride the Monorail with your theme park admission. However, keep in mind that if you have a 1-Park per Day ticket, in order to ride the Monorail, you will need to use that day's admission for Disneyland Park only.
Guests are allowed to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverages into the parks for self-consumption, provided they are not in glass containers, do not require heating, reheating, processing or refrigeration and do not have pungent odors. Inform a Security Cast Member of any food items when you enter the park.
The tram service at the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures at Disneyland Resort is a free transportation service that transports Guests such as yourself to the Main Entrance between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
Prices vary from $7-20 per person per attraction. Guests are limited to two purchases of paid Lightning Lane per day. While having to pay another fee is never ideal, paid Lightning Lane really can offer some time savings for the most popular Disneyland rides.
All riders must disembark at Tomorrowland Station, and during peak traffic periods, the monorail offers only one-way trips where all passengers must also disembark at the Downtown Disney Station and re-board for the return trip to Tomorrowland. Admission to Disneyland Park must be purchased to ride the monorail.
The Disneyland Monorail is currently operating on the same schedule as Disneyland Park. For instance, this month since the park is open 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., the Disneyland Monorail will operate during those hours as well. Guests with early entry privileges can board the Disneyland Monorail at 7:30 a.m..
It will always (ALWAYS!) be cheaper to do Disneyland on a tighter budget while staying off-site. Unlike Walt Disney World, there are no Value Resorts at Disneyland, meaning that the on-site hotels all start at over $300 per night, and can easily eclipse $1,000 per night.
Suitcases, bags, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24 long x 15 wide x 18 high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) are not allowed in any theme park. Loose or dry ice is not permitted in these containers. Re-usable ice packs are recommended.
Non-alcoholic drinks and waters are totally something you can bring into Disney, it's even encouraged! It is so nice to have a drink on hand whenever you need to quench your thirst. You can bring refillable water bottles and refill them at water stations throughout the parks.
However, a Cast Member at the security checkpoint may ask to open your bottle to check its contents, since metal water bottles are opaque. Just keep in mind that alcoholic beverages and glass containers aren't allowed inside the Disneyland Resort, as stated in the Rules.
Disney Monorail & Two Guest-Favorite Attractions Closing Indefinitely. The Disney Monorail and two more Guest-favorite experiences will close in July at one Disney Park so that Imagineers can refurbish the attractions.
