Does the University of Michigan have student parking?

Student parking permits are available to junior, senior and graduate students. All student parking options, with the exception of Student Storage permits, are intended for students commuting to and from campus. Student Storage permits are for those living on campus, who need access to their vehicle occasionally.

Eligible faculty and staff, students, and retirees may purchase their parking permit from a Parking Customer Services (PCS) office or online. Permits purchased online will be sent to your home address within 2-5 business days.

Public parking meters are enforced Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. unless otherwise stated on the meter or central pay station. Cost is $2.20/hour; free on evenings, Sundays and all holidays observed by City of Ann Arbor employees.

It is recommended that visitors park at either lot 79, South of Spartan Stadium, or at lot 62 on the north side of the Stadium. These lots both allow all-day parking at a rate of approximately $2.00 per hour.

Valet pricing With the exception of days Halloween Horror Nights takes place, parking is free for all guests beginning at 6:00 pm. Alternately, regular parking fees are reimbursed when you purchase two matinee movie tickets at Cinemark.
