I haven't had any issue with Uber in London so far. My requests are usually accepted straight away, and the most I've waited has been roughly 10 minutes at 2:30 am near Stratford shopping center. The worst for me has been in Cardiff. 5 minutes to find a driver and then 15 more minutes for said driver to arrive.
