United MileagePlus does not automatically include a TSA PreCheck membership as a standard benefit for all members; however, there are several ways to get it through the program in 2026. High-tier elite members, specifically Premier Platinum and 1K, are often offered a choice of "Choice Benefits" which can include a code to cover the application fee for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry. Furthermore, United allows all members to "buy" a TSA PreCheck application fee waiver using their MileagePlus miles through the United MileagePlus digital catalog (typically costing around 10,000 to 15,000 miles). More commonly, the primary way United travelers get the service is through a co-branded credit card, such as the United Quest or United Club Infinite Card, which provides a statement credit of up to $120 every four years for the application fee. It is important to note that even if you have the status or the card, you must still apply, pass the background check, and have your "Known Traveler Number" added to your United profile to receive the benefits on your boarding pass.
