While it is a popular urban legend, it is virtually impossible for a guest to "hide" and stay in the Disney theme parks overnight due to the intense security sweeps conducted by "third-shift" Cast Members and specialized K-9 units. However, there are legitimate ways to sleep within the park boundaries. The most famous is the Cinderella Castle Suite in Magic Kingdom, which is a lavishly decorated apartment located inside the castle; however, it cannot be booked and is only awarded through exclusive sweepstakes or to high-profile VIPs. At Disneyland in California, the Dream Suite above Pirates of the Caribbean offers a similar experience. For everyone else, "staying in Disney" refers to staying at one of the official on-property resorts, such as the Grand Floridian or the Contemporary Resort. Some of these hotels are so close that you are technically within the "Disney bubble," and the Contemporary even has the monorail track running directly through the center of its A-frame tower, providing the closest sensation to living in the park itself.
