Has it ever snowed at Disney World?

According to Disney the first snow happened on December 2nd 1994. In fact, Snow fell throughout December 1994 as you entered Main Street as part of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Snow has been falling just about every year since.

While "magical" soap-based snow falls nightly on Main Street during the holidays, real, measurable snow has technically fallen at Walt Disney World only a handful of times in history. The most notable event was on January 19, 1977, when freak flurries were reported across Central Florida, including the Magic Kingdom; however, the snow did not "stick" to the ground. In January 2010, a "wintry mix" of sleet and light snow flurries was seen over Epcot and Hollywood Studios during a record cold snap, though it quickly melted upon impact. Most recently, in early 2025, a "Gulf Coast Blizzard" brought rare snowflakes to Central Florida, though again, no accumulation occurred within the park gates. Because Orlando’s ground temperature remains quite warm even in winter, seeing a "White Christmas" at Disney World remains an extremely rare, once-in-a-generation weather phenomenon that becomes a viral sensation whenever the temperature drops low enough.
