How bad is the drop on frozen ever after?

There are two drops in this attraction, the first one sailing backwards as you watch Elsa's magic in front of you. It's very much like backing down a driveway in a car, smooth, rolling and not steep. The second is a forwards drop, nearly identical to that in pirates, but in the light… and snow… and cool air.

The drop on Frozen Ever After at EPCOT is considered a mild, "family-friendly" thrill and is generally not "bad" even for those who are sensitive to drops. The ride features two distinct "slides." The first is a small, gentle backward slide during the "Let It Go" sequence with Elsa, which is more of a gradual dip than a sudden drop. The main drop occurs toward the end of the ride in the darkness as you pass Marshmallow; this is a 28-foot drop at a 25-degree angle. While this drop is slightly steeper and longer than the one in "Pirates of the Caribbean" (which is 14 feet), it is significantly milder than the 52-foot drop on "Splash Mountain" (Tiana's Bayou Adventure) or the high-speed plunges on "Expedition Everest." Most riders find that it provides a brief, exciting "stomach-tickle" but is not intense enough to cause fear. It is also important to note that the front row is the most likely to get a few splashes of water, while those in the back rows typically remain completely dry throughout the journey.
