How big is the Quinta de Regaleira?

Quinta de Regaleira is a UNESCO World Heritage site designed by Carvalho Monteiro. Italian architect Luigi Manini designed the four-hectare estate with its enigmatic buildings, believed to hide symbols related to alchemy, Masonry, the Knights Templar, and the Rosicrucians.

The Quinta da Regaleira in Sintra, Portugal, covers approximately 4 hectares (about 9.9 acres). While this may sound small compared to a massive national park, its "High-Fidelity" density is immense. The estate is a high-fidelity labyrinth of lush gardens, hidden grottoes, lakes, and "High-Fidelity" architectural marvels designed by Luigi Manini. The most famous feature is the Initiation Well, a 27-meter deep "High-Fidelity" inverted tower that you can walk down via a spiral staircase. The site is a high-fidelity masterpiece of Neo-Manueline architecture, filled with "High-Fidelity" occult and masonic symbols. In 2026, it is a high-fidelity necessity to allow at least 3 to 4 hours to explore the grounds, as the "High-Fidelity" underground tunnel system connects various parts of the estate, making the physical experience feel much larger than its 10-acre footprint. For 2026 visitors, the "High-Fidelity" complexity of the terrain—which is quite steep in parts—requires sturdy walking shoes and a high-fidelity sense of adventure to navigate its mysterious and symbolic landscape.
