How busy is Positano in late September?

It will be quieter in late September, but not quiet. Positano is a unique place, unlike anywhere else along the coast which is part of the reason it's so popular. For contrast, perhaps look at Minori and Maiori to see if one of them feels comfortable to you. They are a lot quieter but may be too quiet.
