US citizens have several convenient options for obtaining a Jordanian visa in 2026. The most popular method is the Visa on Arrival, available at Queen Alia International Airport and most land borders (excluding the King Hussein/Allenby Bridge). The fee is currently 40 JOD (approx. $56 USD) for a single-entry visa valid for 30 days. However, a much better value for tourists is the Jordan Pass, which must be purchased online before arrival. It costs 70–80 JOD and waives the entry visa fee if you stay for at least three nights, while also providing free entry to over 40 attractions, including Petra. For those who prefer everything sorted in advance, Jordan also offers an e-Visa through the Ministry of Interior's official portal. Regardless of the method, your passport must have at least six months of validity remaining from your date of entry to be granted admission.
