How do groups work at JetBlue?

How are JetBlue boarding groups determined? General boarding — also known as Groups B through F, the fifth-ninth groups — is assigned based on your seat. The airline assigns groups to maximize efficiency. Passengers with elite status, premium seats or other benefits will be assigned to one of the earliest groups.
