If you find you're missing some Avios or Tier Points on your account you can claim them back within six months of your flight. New members can even claim Avios and Tier Points for any British Airways flights flown in the three months before joining. You can claim for most flights using our online claim form.
Can I still collect Avios if I have already booked my flights? Yes, just add your membership number to your booking on the airline partner's website. You can find your membership number on the My Avios page once you have signed in. If you have already flown and think your Avios are missing, Contact us.
The value of British Airways Avios is 1.83 cents per avios, on average. That means 10,000 British Airways Avios have a value of roughly $183. British Airways Avios are more valuable than the average airline miles, which are worth 1.32 cents each, as a result.
To use your British Airways account to transfer Avios, start by logging in to your Executive Club account and going to the Combine Avios Points page. Scroll down and click “Combine my Avios” in either the Iberia Plus or Qatar Airways Privilege Club section to begin the process.
Cash + Avios. Use your Avios to pay up to 50% of your flight booking using Cash + Avios.
Transfer Avios Transfer some of your Avios to your friends and family. It could make all the difference to their next exciting trip away. Simply log in, enter their Avios membership details and choose the amount of Avios to transfer. You can transfer up to 60,000 Avios in one go and up to 200,000 in a year.
Your Avios stay with you as long as you collect, spend, buy or share at least one Avios every 36 months — any longer and your Avios will expire and be removed, so remember to take action before those three years are up. There are lots of simple ways to ensure you'll never lose the Avios you collect.
Your Avios are valid for a minimum of three years and expire at the end of the half-year period in which they were earned.
