?? Pro tip: Memorize your KTN, and add it to all your airline company profiles. You can always call your airlines directly and ask them to add your KTN to any existing reservations.
Boarding passesIf you're eligible for TSA PreCheck, your boarding pass will show TSA PreCheck. If you add your KTN after checking in, you'll need to get a new boarding pass.
Can you bring a guest through TSA PreCheck? Usually, no, but there are exceptions. These include allowances for the following types of guests who don't have their own TSA PreCheck membership: spouses, children, those with a disability, and active military personnel. There are also rules for pets.
TSA PreCheck® provides expedited security screening benefits for flights departing from U.S. Airports. Global Entry provides expedited U.S. customs screening for international air travelers when entering the United States. Global Entry members also receive TSA PreCheck® benefits as part of their membership.
If you have Global Entry, it also automatically includes TSA PreCheck membership. Both memberships last for five years before needing to reapply. However, when approved individually for TSA PreCheck, it does not include approval for Global Entry.
Travel RequirementsAll Japanese Global Entry members must have a valid passport and a valid visa or approved Electronic System for Travel Authorization's (ESTA) application to receive Global Entry benefits and must maintain updated passport/visa information with CBP.
