Checking in on the Ryanair app is a straightforward process that must be completed at least two hours before departure. First, open the "MyRyanair" app and go to "My Bookings" to select your flight. If you have not purchased a reserved seat, check-in opens 24 hours before your flight; if you have paid for a seat, you can check in up to 60 days in advance. You will need to enter your travel document details (passport or ID) and, for many nationalities in 2026, complete a digital visa or passport verification via the app. Once finished, your boarding pass will be generated within the app. Crucially, as of late 2025, Ryanair no longer accepts printed boarding passes for most routes (except for Turkey and Morocco); you must show the digital version on your phone at the gate. If you fail to check in via the app and require an airport desk to do it for you, you will be charged a significant "Airport Check-in Fee" (usually around £/€55).
