How do I contact a FREENOW taxi driver?

Once you've been allocated a driver, tap on the phone icon at the bottom of the live booking screen. Make sure your phone number registered to the FREENOW account is the same as the number you are using to make the call.

You can contact a FREENOW driver directly through the app via in-app chat or a masked phone call. Once a booking is confirmed and the driver is "Approaching" or "Arrived," a phone and message icon will appear on the live trip screen. For your security, FREENOW uses "Phone Masking," which displays a generic number rather than your private digits. Note that the in-app chat feature is only available before the trip begins; once you are inside the vehicle and the ride has started, the chat function is disabled to prevent driver distraction. If you have left an item behind after the trip has ended, you can still contact your driver through the "Trips" section of the app for up to 7 days post-ride. It is a peer-to-peer "pro-tip" to use the chat feature for simple instructions (like "I'm standing by the red post") to avoid the driver having to pull over to take a call in busy traffic.
