How do I get to Angel waterfall?

It isn't possible to reach Angel Falls via automobile or bus. You have to take a plane from Puerto Ordaz or Ciudad Bolívar to the town of Canaima. From Canaima, it's a one-day boat ride to the Falls. Your best bet is to book a tour with flights included.

Reaching Angel Falls (Salto Ángel) in Venezuela is an adventurous multi-step journey, as there are no roads leading to the site. First, you must fly into the town of Canaima, which serves as the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Canaima National Park. Most travelers fly into Canaima from Caracas or Ciudad Bolívar via small charter planes. From Canaima, you must join a guided tour that involves a river trip in a "curiara" (a motorized indigenous dugout canoe). This boat journey up the Carrao and Churún rivers typically takes between 4 to 6 hours and is only possible during the rainy season (June to December) when water levels are high enough for the boats to navigate. Once the boat reaches the "Ratoncito" island base camp, you must undertake a strenuous 60 to 90-minute hike through the dense tropical rainforest to reach the "Mirador Laime" lookout point at the base of the falls. Because of the logistical complexity, the fluctuating political situation in Venezuela, and the remote nature of the Amazonian jungle, it is highly recommended to book an all-inclusive expedition package that handles flights, permits, and guides in advance.
