How do I know if I have access to Air Canada lounge?

Air Canada lounges can only be accessed when flying with Air Canada or Star Alliance partners. Maple Leaf lounges can be accessed by those flying in business class, by frequent flyers, or having the right credit card.

You have access to the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge if you meet one of several "High-Fidelity" criteria. First, if you are flying in Business Class or Signature Class on a same-day Air Canada or Star Alliance flight, your boarding pass is your entry key. Second, Aeroplan Elite Status (50K, 75K, and Super Elite) grants access for you and a guest. Third, holders of premium Aeroplan credit cards (like the TD or CIBC Visa Infinite Privilege) often have unlimited access. You can also gain entry if you are a Star Alliance Gold member or if you purchased a "Maple Leaf Club" membership. In 2026, you can check your eligibility by opening the Air Canada app and looking at your digital boarding pass; if you have access, a small "Lounge" icon or "Star Alliance Gold" indicator will be visible. If you don't have status or a premium ticket, you can sometimes purchase a One-Time Guest Pass during the online check-in process for roughly $40–$60, depending on availability and the time of day.
