How do I order food from ICE train?

Take a seat at any table and the waiter will take your order. At the other end of the car is a counter where you can buy snacks, drinks & food to take back to your seat. In 1st class, staff take you food & drink orders and serve you at your seat, you don't need to visit the restaurant.

Ordering food on a German Intercity Express (ICE) train depends on your class of travel. If you are in 1st Class, you have the luxury of "at-seat service." You can simply connect to the "WIFIonICE" network, open the ICE Portal on your browser, and navigate to the "Catering" section. From there, you can browse the menu, enter your car and seat number, and a steward will bring your order directly to you; you pay via card or cash upon delivery. If you are in 2nd Class, you generally need to walk to the Bordbistro or Bordrestaurant car, typically located in the center of the train. While 2nd-class passengers can view the menu on the ICE Portal to see what is available, they must go to the counter to order and collect their food. The menu usually features a mix of German staples like Currywurst and seasonal organic dishes, reflecting Deutsche Bahn's commitment to sustainability.
