How do I scan an e-ticket on my phone?

You can scan e-tickets with your phone. This will appear as a PDF in the thank you email that goes out to all buyers. The PDF will be the e-ticket, which will contain a QR code that you can scan in person at your event. You can scan the QR code with any phone that can scan a QR code.

Scanning an e-ticket is a simple process that involves presenting a digital barcode or QR code to a scanner at an airport, theater, or train station. To ensure a smooth experience, first, save the ticket to your phone's digital wallet (Apple Wallet for iOS or Google Wallet for Android) so it can be accessed without an active internet connection. When you approach the scanner, increase your screen brightness to 100%, as low brightness can prevent the optical sensor from reading the code. Hold your phone about 2 to 4 inches away from the scanner glass, keeping the screen parallel to the sensor. Most modern scanners at airport gates or TSA checkpoints are "hands-free," meaning you simply slide your phone face-down or face-up under the reader. Wait for a green light or a distinctive "beep" before moving your phone. If you are using a screenshot of a ticket, ensure the image is clear and not cropped, as the scanner needs to see the entire square of the QR code. If the scan fails, wiping any smudges or fingerprints off your screen often solves the problem immediately.
