How do I upload photos to SwissPass?

Go to registration on swisspass.ch. manage your travelcards (Half Fare, GA, Leisure). amend your personal details and preferred method of contact. upload a current photo or any evidence as needed.

To upload a photo to your SwissPass in 2026, the most efficient method is using the SwissPass.ch customer portal or the SBB Mobile app. When you purchase a new travelcard, you are prompted to provide a "recent, high-quality" digital photo that meets passport-style requirements: front-facing, neutral background, and no headwear (unless for religious/medical reasons). If you are a new customer, you can simply take a selfie directly within the app during the registration process, and the system’s AI will automatically verify if it meets the criteria for size and lighting. If you prefer to use an existing file, you can log in to your account at swisspass.ch/kunde/uploadPhoto and upload a JPEG (max 1 MB). For those who are less tech-savvy, you can still bring a physical passport photo to any SBB travel center, where a staff member will scan it and link it to your digital profile instantly.
