How do I use IATA EasyPay?

An IATA EasyPay Account can only be opened by someone with Portal Administrator and Authorized Signatory privileges for the head office of the travel agency. You will select the IATA EasyPay 'New Service Request' link in the IATA Customer Portal, which will redirect you to the IATA EasyPay Portal.

IATA EasyPay is a "pay-as-you-go" e-wallet system designed specifically for travel agents to issue airline tickets through the Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP). To use it in 2026, an agent must first set up and fund a dedicated EasyPay account. When issuing a ticket, the system performs a real-time check to ensure sufficient funds are available. If approved, an authorization code is generated, and the funds are "blocked" for settlement. This method is highly secure for airlines as it eliminates chargeback risks and is often more economical than credit card transactions. For agents, it provides a flexible way to manage cash flow and issuance capacity outside of traditional credit limits. Settlement usually occurs quickly, with funds typically reaching the airline within 48 to 96 hours after the ticket is issued.
