How do I use Osaka pass?

How do I use the Osaka Subway/Bus Pass? Your pass will be used like a regular Japanese subway pass, just scan your pass before passing through the gates for each line you take. NOTE: You cannot use the Osaka Metro Pass on JR lines. However, IC Cards such as Suica and Pasmo are able to be used.

To use the Osaka Amazing Pass in 2026, you primarily utilize a digital ticket system via your smartphone. After purchasing the pass online, you access it through the "SURUTTO QRtto" website or app. To enter public transportation, such as the Osaka Metro or city buses, you simply scan the displayed QR code at the station's ticket gates or show it to the bus driver. For free entry to the 40+ attractions like Osaka Castle or the Umeda Sky Building, you must press the "Use tickets" button in the app and show the staff your active screen. Note that the digital pass is valid for one day from 3:00 AM to 2:59 AM the following day. It is essential to ensure your phone is charged and has a stable network connection, as the QR code refreshes and becomes invalid five minutes after authorization to prevent fraud.
