Just like the Monorail, Disney Skyliner and bus service, whether you want to ride on a Magic Kingdom Ferry or float over to Epcot on a Disney Friendship Boat, all water transportation options at Walt Disney World are completely free.
Note that the Skyliner is entirely FREE to ride for all guests. You won't be able to access it unless you get to one of its stations, so that could cause some barriers. But you don't need to be staying at one of the hotels on the Skyliner lines to use the service.
The Walt Disney World monorail is completely free, and is open for any guest to ride without a ticket. Just know that you may have to pay for parking if you're looking to park and ride.
Anyone can ride the Skyliner; you don't have to be staying at a Disney Resort. Probably the easiest way to catch a ride on the Skyliner (if you aren't staying at a resort with a station or if you are staying offsite) is to board at either Hollywood Studios or Epcot.
No you can't walk from the monorail station to the boardwalk, however I suggest is to take the bus from there to the boardwalk is to take the bus for the BW from the bus station at Epcot. The other thing is you can take a bus to the boardwalk from the magic kingdom Have a wonderful time! D. Helpful?
If you want to take the monorail, you need to walk from the Boardwalk to the back entrance of EPCOT. You have to walk to the front entrance of EPCOT and take the monorail there. That is sbout 20 minutes. You do not need to use the monorail if you do not want too.
