To become a World of Hyatt Elite member in 2026, you must earn "Tier-Qualifying Nights" or "Base Points" within a single calendar year. The first tier, Discoverist, requires 10 nights or 25,000 Base Points; Explorist requires 30 nights or 50,000 points; and the top-tier Globalist requires 60 nights or 100,000 points. You earn 5 Base Points for every eligible dollar spent. Alternatively, you can achieve automatic status through credit cards; the Chase World of Hyatt Credit Card grants automatic Discoverist status and provides 5 qualifying night credits annually, with more nights earned through spending ($5,000 spend = 2 nights). In early 2026, Hyatt also launched an "Elite Tier Offer" (or status challenge) where travelers could earn Explorist status for 90 days and maintain it through 2028 by staying just 10 nights in that period, or reach Globalist with 20 nights. For high-volume business travelers, Lifetime Globalist status is granted after earning 1,000,000 Base Points. Milestone Rewards are also a key part of the 2026 program, providing perks like "Club Access Awards" and "Free Night Awards" at various night intervals starting at 20 nights.
