How do you choose dining time on a Disney cruise?

Your preferred seating can be requested under 'My Reservations' on 'My Disney Cruise' or through the 'Disney Cruise Line Navigator App', with requests subject to availability. If your seating preference is not available, you can request an alternate seating time by joining the waiting list.

When booking a Disney cruise in 2026, you choose your dining time through the "My Reservations" section of the Disney Cruise Line website or the Navigator App. Disney utilizes "Rotational Dining," meaning you move to a different themed restaurant each night, but your table number and your serving team stay with you. There are two "seatings" available: Main Seating (usually around 5:45 PM) and Second Seating (usually around 8:15 PM). Main seating is highly coveted by families with young children and often sells out months in advance; if it is full, you can join a "waitlist" through the app. A pro-tip for 2026 is that if you prefer the later seating, your kids can participate in "Dine and Play," where youth counselors pick them up from the dining room after they finish their meal, allowing adults to enjoy a quieter dessert while the kids head to the youth clubs. Your assigned time and first restaurant will be clearly displayed on your "Key to the World" card or in the digital app upon boarding.
