How do you get Rise of the Resistance fastpass?

Rise of the Resistance does have a Lightning Lane. For most of the attractions with Lightning Lanes, if you want to use it, you'll need to purchase Genie+ (which is the name for the new pay-to-use FastPass system) for yourself and every member of your party that wishes to use it.

As of March 2026, the traditional "Fastpass" no longer exists; it has been replaced by the Lightning Lane Single Pass. Because Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is the most popular attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it is not included in the standard "Multi Pass" tier. To skip the standby line, you must purchase an individual "Single Pass" via the My Disney Experience app. In 2026, guests staying at Disney Resort hotels can purchase this at 7:00 AM up to 7 days before their check-in, while off-site guests can purchase it 3 days in advance. The price fluctuates based on demand, typically ranging from $15 to $25 per person. If the Single Passes sell out (which they often do within minutes during peak 2026 seasons), your only other option is the "Standby" line, which can exceed 120 minutes, or joining a "Virtual Queue" if Disney implements one during exceptionally busy holiday periods.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has an individual Lightning Lane available for purchase. Guests of Disney resorts can purchase it at 7AM, while other guests have to wait until the park opens, subject to availability. This is the easiest way to get on the ride, but it comes at a price of about $15 to $25 per person.

You may be out of luck for purchasing Individual Lightning Lanes for any attraction if you're staying offsite on high crowd days. Rise of the Resistance used to be the clear winner of the popularity contest here, and that doesn't hold true anymore either. At all crowd levels, Flight of Passage sells out first.

I highly recommend utilizing the DAS Advance process before your trip. Our trip will be at a crowded time in the parks, and not having to head to guest services is certainly a plus. The fact that the wait times in the virtual queue are lower makes it much easier on families to be able to plan for this process.

The short answer is a resounding YES, you can use both services at the same time - they are completely independent. Doing so is a great way to experience even more of your favorite attractions during a day at the parks!
