How do you not hurt your feet at Disney?

Take Advil before you leave for the day. Pack some Epsom salts and soak your feet in the bath. Some people swear by gel inserts in their shoes. If there's room in my shoes, I sometimes double-sock my feet.

If you have a fitness tracker, another way to prepare your body for Walt Disney World is to work your way up to 20,000 steps a day. Start with your current number of steps per day and incrementally add daily steps each week until you are at 20,000 a day.

It might be uncomfortable to wear wet shoes at the Disney Parks, especially with the rain in swampy Florida. However, it's against the Disney dress code to go barefoot at the Theme Parks. We recommend bringing spare flip flops, Crocs, or sandals to change into for water rides or rainy days!

We suggest you dress comfortably, wear good walking shoes and check the local weather report before you leave for the parks at Walt Disney World Resort. Proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times. The parks are a casual, family-oriented environment.

We really like to peruse the World Showcase and wander at a slow pace. A full day, or eight hours, will allow you to take in most of the most popular attractions and experiences here. If your itinerary allows, I would recommend splitting this up into a few different visits.
