How do you qualify for Sky Priority?

Access to and use of Delta Sky Priority services are reserved for Delta One®, Delta Premium Select and First Class passengers, Diamond, Platinum and Gold Medallion® Members, and SkyTeam® Elite Plus members on all Delta and Delta Connection® flights.

Qualifying for Sky Priority in 2026 is based on either your airline elite status or your ticket class on a SkyTeam airline (like Delta, Air France, or KLM). The most direct way is to reach SkyTeam Elite Plus status, which for Delta flyers means achieving Gold, Platinum, or Diamond Medallion level. In 2026, this requires earning a specific number of "Medallion Qualification Dollars" (MQDs) through flight spend and co-branded credit card usage. Alternatively, you can gain immediate Sky Priority access by purchasing a Business or First Class ticket (e.g., Delta One, Delta Premium Select). Once qualified, you are entitled to a suite of benefits including priority check-in, security lanes (where available), boarding, and baggage handling. Note that simply holding a co-branded credit card alone is rarely enough for full Sky Priority status unless you spend enough to reach the Gold Medallion tier.
