Disney has one of the most generous food policies in the theme park industry; you are allowed to bring your own snacks and outside food into any of the parks, provided they do not require heating or refrigeration. You can pack everything from granola bars and fruit to full sandwiches and "bento boxes." The key rules are that you cannot bring glass containers (except for small baby food jars) and you cannot bring loose ice (use reusable gel packs instead). Coolers are permitted, but they must be no larger than 24" x 15" x 18" and cannot have wheels. Many savvy families pack a "soft-sided" cooler bag that fits under a stroller. When you go through security, just inform the officer that you have food. This is an excellent way to save money, as a family of four can easily spend $50 on a single round of snacks like Mickey Pretzels or popcorn. Plus, having your own snacks is a lifesaver for long attraction queues when "hangry" kids (or adults) need a quick energy boost.
