How does Disney PhotoPass work on rides?

If guests are wearing an active MagicBand when they ride on select attractions, the photos will automatically be added to their My Disney Experience account. For guests without a MagicBand, there are touch points at Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain.

Just like traditional PhotoPass pictures, you can purchase ride photos individually or if you have purchased Memory Maker, your ride photos will be included with that. Additionally, guests who have purchased Genie+ also have their ride photos included with their purchase.

While the basic Disney PhotoPass lets you view and then purchase individual pictures, Disney's Memory Maker works by allowing you to collect an unlimited number of PhotoPass pictures taken throughout the park and download all those photos directly to your phone or computer.

All ticketed Disneyland Resort Guests will receive complimentary Disney PhotoPass digital attraction photos as a take-home souvenir. You can access these downloadable photos for free in the Disneyland App starting February 4, 2023.

At the time of activation, a ticket will be associated with one Guest. Each ticket holder will have their photo taken at the park entrance. That photo will be used to verify each Guest when they use their ticket for re-entry on the same day as well as on subsequent days for a multi-day ticket.
